BlueScope Construction designed and built this large distribution center. By working closely with Ace and the subcontractors, BlueScope Construction was able to cut two months off the construction schedule. One of the many time-saving concepts was erecting and roofing the building shell in the winter and then partitioning off part of the building and using temporary space heaters to heat up the ground enough to pour concrete floors. As a result, Ace was able to start using the facility well before the official grand opening.
The walls of the distribution center are pre-cast insulated panels and the two-story office area is brick. The building features a metal standing seam roof manufactured by BlueScope Buildings.
