Field Supervision
BlueScope Construction has a staff of highly qualified and experienced field superintendents. The superintendent’s role is to work as a partner with the Project Manager and to be his eyes and ears on-site. Our superintendent will supervise the subcontractors, coordinate the delivery of BlueScope Construction and Owner-supplied materials to the jobsite, ensure that the construction schedule is met, that all BlueScope Construction supplied material is properly fabricated and installed in accordance with the plans and specifications, and that all BlueScope Construction subcontractors and their personnel are completely knowledgeable of, and operate in total compliance with, the BlueScope Construction safety program.
Our superintendents, and all BlueScope Construction personnel, are continuously being exposed to, and trained in, the latest safety procedures and quality control programs. Over 80% of our superintendents have received OSHA 510 30 hour training. And, nearly 20% of those superintendents are also OSHA 500 certified to teach the training themselves.
